Today marks the 15th anniversary of Redvee.Net. Through thick and thin, year in and year out, we’ve been there as the St Helens Fans website supporting the team and the club.

A special thanks must go to Hattons Solicitors who have helped to keep the site alive over the last decade, their support and work they do for the local community in St Helens is unbelievable.

Most of all – this website belongs to the fans, and it couldn’t have survived so long without all the people who have helped us along the way – whether by contributing content, posting in the forums, or our techies helping to fix the stuff in the background when things go wrong!

Redvee.Net was the successor to the Free Mike McClennan fanzine/website and was initially part of rlfans.com before we became a stand alone website and forum in 2006. Redvee was originally set up and ran whilst a student at Carmel College, and a lot has certainly changed in the world in the 15 years since!

iPhones didn’t exist, nor did Youtube, Facebook or Twitter. At that time the forums were the be all and end all – yet today sees Social Media play just as big a part. We have Saints fans who are now 20 who won’t remember a time before the website existed!

We’ve seen Ian Millward, Daniel Anderson, Mick Potter, Royce Simmons, Nathan Brown and Kieron Cunningham all hold the Coaching Job.

The Redvee flag that adorned the Popular side wall at Knowsley Road now sits proudly above the fans on the West Stand at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

We’ve been there through lean years and losses and we’ve been there when we’ve the lot!!!

The last match before Redvee was set up saw Paul Wellens, Darren Albert, Darren Smith, Paul Newlove, Tony Stewart, Paul Sculthorpe, Sean Long, Darren Britt, Mickey Higham, Tim Jonkers, Chris Joynt, John Stankevitch, Jason Hooper, Ade Gardner, Mike Bennett, Stuart Jones and Mark Edmondson take to the field in a 54-12 victory over Castleford. From that Mickey Higham is the only player still active.

Current Saints stars Regan Grace and Morgan Knowles were 6 years old, James Roby was a year away from his debut!!

Here’s to the next 15 years- Happy Birthday Redvee!
