Back to winning ways last week, as we went 4-2…. Can we repeat this week?
Salford v St Helens -4
A tough one that will go a long way to seeing how both sides will stack up for the rest of the season. Salford are much improved, with an impressive home win over Castleford last time at the AJ Bell, but with Saints now hitting the straps and Matty Smith returning to the team, we expect this to be a statement of intent from the S men
Pick: St Helens – 4
Castleford v Huddersfield +20
We’d be inclined to take Huddersfield, as Cas have been under par the last couple of weeks and defensively have conceded a few points. Even without Brough, we’d expect Huddersfield to cross for a couple of scores, so 20 start may be a tad too big to cover.
Pick: Huddersfield +20
Leeds v Wigan +2
Leeds haven’t faced anyone decent since Cas, and find themselves in a false position. Wigan welcome back 3 players this week and will show the Rhinos up for what they are
Pick: Wigan+2
Warrington v Hull (scr)
Seriously? Why the disrespect to Hull? How on earth could anyone back Warrington here? The easiest money you’ll make all weekend.
Pick: Hull
Leigh -10 v Widnes
The second easiest money you’ll make all weekend. Leigh are very good at home and are capable of scoring points. Widnes look doomed to finish bottom of the table even at this early stage.
Pick: Leigh -10
Castleford v Wakefield +12
Wakefield are a slightly better side than being given credit for, and will look to be competitive. They might not win here, but neither will Catalans run riot.
Pick: Wakefield +12
