    Default World Cup Final

    Got me tickets!

Don't hold out much hope, but it will be a good afternoon/evening anyway. Few beers in the city, then down to Caxton Street. I wont be taking the big St Helens flag, as last time the 'nice' stewards at Suncorp Stadium tried to confiscate it saying it was tooooo big.

Oh well, look out for some drunk in a Saints shirt and England hat being chaperoned by his wife trying to keep him under control.

    Come on ENGLAND!

I am so jealous, enjoy and report back on the atmosphere

My heart says england by 20, but in my head says we only win by 10

What's the point of reaching a final if your not going to believe. Media wise, I hope this is talked up massively, even in RL with less competitive teams than kick ball it's a genuine achievement of which we should be proud.

I don't think its been announced yet, but the head of the Refs Tony Archer, has stuck by Matt Cecchin regarding the Fifita incident yesterday so it could be Cecchin?

Lots of travelling for the lads, and it looks as though we will see a highly anticipated full game between Roby v Smith due to Hodgsons knee injury, O'Loughlin still in doubt with his shoulder.

Tinbilly's on Caxton St, The pen & wig and the German bar should all be good for a beer or 10. Can't remember anywhere else decent. I will speak to my mate in Brisbane tomorrow and see what's happening with tickets for you.

Hodgson out for a long spell with an ACL injury . I just hope that Roby comes through the final unscathed!

Of all the city's around Oz . Brisbane is my favorite . Cannot make it over there , but will certainly be watching on tv . Sorry to have to say it but the Aussies will be too good for us . But it should be a cracker of a game .

I doubt that will happen over here, I don't think I saw a thing on Sky Sports in the lead up to the semi final.

Roby ready to step up. O'Loughlin still in doubt with what is now reported to be a quad strain (thigh).

Unfortunately I think it'll be something along those lines. A rousing performance by England for 50-60 minutes and then Australia pulling away in time-honoured fashion.

Indeed. I don't think we need to worry about them racking up a huge score because the England defence is pretty solid but I think the Aussies will breach it just enough to keep us at arm's length. Added to that our attack has been very hit and miss throughout so I don't see us scoring a lot of points. I'd love to be wrong.

32-1 to Aus but Bateman justifies his selection as centre with a last minute drop goal.

    Australia 18 England 26

We can do it with the right attitude, confidence and smart substitutions.

I'm expecting a massive game from Sam Burgess for the final.

This is the last chance for Graham, Roby and Burgess and it's their time to cement their reputations.

Blimey, I've not been as excited bout a game for a long time!

Where's the best place to watch this in town?

I've read Leeds are showing it, wonder if Saints will do the same.

If we are going to win we have to do it by more than one score. If we are less than 7 points in the lead with 5 mins to go you would back the Aussies.

Whatever happens I am really happy how we have performed in this world club. We are now legitimately the number 2 side in the world, which hasn't truly been the case since 1993.

Regardless of what happens on Saturday this has to be the next step on turning England back into the worlds best team.
I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.
