I thought these fixtures were worked out on positions after 23 games. It looks like 6 of the top 8 could change positions before this time. How have they worked out who plays who.

I thought that myself, we could finish anywhere from 5th to 8th. If the fixtures are handpicked it is a farce

Is it not just an example of what they would be based on the standings at the moment? I can't see them being set yet.

I suspect that these fixtures are assuming that the positions remain the same after Round 23. I understood that it was a fixed format.

It must be because 3rd ad 4th have not been decided and they have giveen Salford and Wakefield 4 home games and one of them could finish 5th.

Thats an "as it stands list" of fixtures.
It will change as fixtures are played.

Your quite right, we'll only know for certain next Sunday.. in reality it's totally pointless because only 1st and 2nd are confirmed

I looked at this very early this morning ( a bit bleary eyed) but I'm sure it mentioned that the actual fixtures are announced on the Wednesday after the last round.

Sounds about right, we'll know who we play next Sunday, just not when

I looked at the projections a few weeks ago and thought 4th and 7th was the better fixtures for us because we would get Castleford and Hull as winnable home games at the current time.
We still need to win our 2 remaining games and Salford, Wakefield, Hull to faulter. Also if we can get weaker teams early in the 8,s might help with Barba hoping for an immediate impact on the last 3 games.

The fixtures are decided based on placings after 23 rounds using this grid, the order/schedule is TBC.

Saints games are pretty locked in though if we win our remaining two games (which we probably need to do for them to actually matter). Only thing that could change would be Salford taking a surprise loss away to Leigh which would help us out in two ways; we'd be just one point behind them and would get Hull at home if they win next week at home against Huddersfield.

They are in terms that we're likely to be 6th even with two wins.

Other than Cas and Leeds it's pretty open

Wigan get the three worse away games at home, typical (I know this is just theoretical atm)

I reckon 3rd, 5th and 6th don't look all that brilliant for the away games.

The way the fixtures stand at the minute I am content with.

Salford @ home is huge and we are dogshite at Salford away
Cas away is winnable as they may put the cue on the rack if we play them in the last game or 2 of the super 8s cause they may rest players.
Leeds away is a 50/50 game. We always battle well at Leeds.
Wigan @ home is a chance for US to make a difference. Saints win big games vs Wigan when we roar them home. 2012 (Greenwood try) 2017 (Percival) have all been knife edge games to which we really made some atmosphere.

Huddersfield at home we should take advantage of. Silly performance if we lose to them. Twice they have took points off us through bad performances
