But it s is only a boy in the gym, doesn't lift the weights that Jack Owens can and doesn't train as hard as Jack. Don't forget he cost a try against Wigan with the way he tried to keep his he ball alive from the kick. I. When he runs the ball in he runs into gaps he hasn't got the bottle to grind it up into the faces of the opposition. Jack always takes it into the faces of the opposition, what's the point of finding the gaps it doesn't grind the opposition down.

We need to get him on a 5 year deal before Welsh union comes sniffing around.

I think he's quick. Quicker than Jack Owens. Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't think I've ever seen a domestic player come into the side and have the impact and bring the excitement he does. His pace is frightening, his step and swerve look like uncoachable raw talent that comes along once a generation. He looks special on what I've seen so far. I've not seen a whole stadium go up in anticipation like they did today when he got the merest sniff of a break.

I just hope we treat him better than we did the last exciting raw talent that came through. Things won't always go as well as they are so far and we need to back him when that happens and make him feel wanted at Saints.

There's a buzz of excitement every time he touches the ball. His pace and step mean he could go the length of the field given a yard of space or a missed tackle. He might make defensive errors and as a 20 year old you'll probably expect a fair few. I don't give a toss about these mistakes though as he's the type of player that makes me excited to watch Saints again and we, as a club and a competition, are in short supply of those.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Phenomenal natural ability. Reminds me of Jason Robinson, the whole stadium holding onto their seats when he has the ball in a bit of space. Before long we are going to have to look at tying him down

Quite a few fans were saying that yesterday great debut over Easter, Longy mentioned keeping him grounded and still a lot to learn. Suprised Wigan and Cas have not tested his defence. On kick returns he must be scary for the opposition on a one on one, steps off both feet like lightening.

You could almost wish that Cunningham was still in charge as his coaching and tactics would certainly have tied Grace down.

I agree. There may be games in his development where he lets a try or two in, but that could be said of Owens and Swift.

I'll bet coaches are asking asking their halves to keep the ball away from him after his 50m run at Wigan. He has defenders pedalling backwards frightened to death of his pace. The only way you'd kick at Regan would be to pepper him with bombs and get tacklers around him before he can get into gear. Percival did a good job shielding and protecting him in both games so far. Limited involvement yesterday but what he did he did well.
Interestingly at a couple of scrums we moved him across to second receiver. He will exploit a lazy or tired defender from set plays and is a smart move. Zak Hardaker packed down at loose on occasions and it would have been interesting kicking on the first into the open space and let Regan chase it down.
