It's definitely because of the fact that it's Warrington and the record is at stake, that's what is making it tense for me.

The team I would play on Friday would be:

1. Wellens
2. Gardner
3. Meli
4. Flannery
5. Foster
6. Gidley
7. Smith
8. Graham
9. Cunningham
10. Hargreaves
11. Puletua
12. Wilkin
13. Moore

14. Roby
15. Soliola
16. Fa’asavalu
17. Clough

For me Dixon, Lomax and Emmitt to miss out with Smith being included.

Starting Choice:
We need to be strong defensively out-wide so I would go with Flannery and Meli in the centres which frees up Gidley to have his hands on the ball with all his experience and leave Moore, Roby and Wilkin to play more natural roles. I couldn't see Moore/Wilkin/Roby working as it hasn't worked when we have tried it previously and for me he needs to take a calculated risk and try something different. For me that's Gidley in at SO.

Bench:
Could be the best bench of the season for me with Roby coming on to speed up the ptb (as we will take them up the middle for the first part of the game). I'd give Lomax the week off just because it isn't a must win game. It could be a risk playing both Fa’asavalu and Soliola but it's a massive game and we need the big game players on the pitch, no disrespect to Dixon and Emmitt.

Threats:
I think when it comes to Warrington they batter teams up the middle with Morley and Carvell (Wood as well, surprised me this year) then they use their quality out wide for points. I think their three-quarters are their biggest threat (the reason I would have Flannery and Meli in the centres) so really we need to take them up the middle as our pack looks very strong. Let's play to our strengths. I think when we have missed creativity (i.e Leeds away and semi-final) our pack has played well and have given us territory, I think we just lacked composure on the line and hopefully a natural SH will help us out a lot with the help of experienced Gidley.

Prediction:
I think Warrington will just shade it tbh. I'm going to say Saints 18-25 Warrington (Briers drop goal). Then we will beat them in the semi final at the HJ. Fingers crossed
